One of my favourite experimental picture types is using the sun in photos. The effects of the light in different types of photo and at different times of day are really interesting to me. You will see the development in my skills as the photographs progress, as the first one I took was a few years ago, and the last being taken just a couple of weeks ago.

| This is the first sun picture I ever took, taken through the window of a moving car, but I kind of liked the effect on the snow. |

| Sunlight through the bridge at the local train station |
 |
| Winter sun through the trees |
 |
| A cloudless sky in summer |

| The sun through clouds |

| While playing with the "Sunset" setting on my camera in Richmond Park I snapped this shot, and instantly loved the effect. The spread of the light is really clear, without the almost black and white effect I was getting in my other sun pictures. |
Those are the best of the crop, I have more but they didn't make the cut for public display. I'm a little bit of a perfectionist I'm afraid =)
Until next time
